  • Secured freshwater biological materials by taxonomic group based on basic efficacy studies
    - Developed 12 base technologies for material scale-up and technology readiness improvement
  • Discovered 42 useful microorganisms for addressing environmental challenges and developed 29 materials

2023-2025

  • Improved technology maturity and demonstration research for secured materials
    - Developed 39 scale-up and application technologies
  • Built collaborative models with companies for environmental issue-related microorganisms
    - 46 new materials developed, and 18 field studies conducted

2026-2028

  • Expanded material discovery and scale-up technologies linked with industry
    - 80 new materials identified, and 6 products developed
  • Strengthened demonstration research and technology transfer
    - 92 new biological materials developed, and 10 technologies transferred to industry

Promotion of Industrialization of Held Technologies

  • Performed 8 cases of enterprise-required technology support for product development and development/provision of standard operating procedures
  • Achieved 5 cases of technology commercialization (product development) through enterprise support
  • achieved a technology transfer rate of 21% for secured technologies (patents) in 2022 to activate industrial utilization of excellent research outcomes

2023-2025

  • Continuous support for enterprise-required technologies and development, and provision of 26 standard operating procedures
  • Achieved 8 cases of technology commercialization (product development) through enterprise support
  • Raised the technology transfer rate of the Resource Center (21%) to 29.9% by 2025
    ※The recent 5-year average technology transfer rate of public research institutes is 35.7%

2026-2028

  • By 2028, provide continuous support for enterprise-required technologies and development/provision of 59 standard operating procedures
  • Achieved 11 cases of technology commercialization (product development) through enterprise support
  • Raising the technology transfer rate to a level above the recent 5-year average (35.7%) of public institutions by 2028
