Target Project 1. Expansion of Freshwater Species List
- Expansion of the national species list through identification of freshwater species not yet revealed (discovery of new/unrecorded species)
- Strengthening the function of the national key asset, i.e., the storage facility, through quantitative and qualitative expansion of biological specimens held
- Establishment of digital images of stored biological specimens to enhance permanent preservation and utilization
Securing freshwater plants, animals, and microorganisms through surveys of freshwater rivers and unique habitats (caves, wetlands, brackish water, etc.)
