Symbol Mark Description : Curves that make up the appearance of the symbol mark represent the flow and vibrancy of bioresources and are constructed with the
motive of the first letter in English
. We showed the intended image of Nakdonggang National Institute of Biological Resources that naturally becomes one in harmony with Nakdong River zone
through these types of curves.
The five icons in the curved frame also refer to that are the methods of classifying organisms, and mean monera,
mycota, protista, plant, and animal order. We established preservation and management system of biological resources in Yeongnam via preservation, research,
and management in Yeongnam and Nakdong River zone; we also improved the awareness of biodiversity and value through exhibition and participatory education.
Furthermore, we symbolized the role and establishment objective of that
tried to establish the national sovereignty over organisms.
Color Description
Orange - As a sun’s color, it represents the acquisition of sovereignty of biological resources by expressing the nutrients that are
the source of biological activities.
Green - As a color of green ground, it represents the infinite value of biological resources by expressing the ground where organisms
live
Blue - As a color of flowing river and high sky, it represents the diversity of biological resources by expressing the Nakdong River
zone where various organisms are self-begotten
