Freshwater Bioresources Culture Research Division consists of Culture Technology Development Team and Strain Preservation and Distribution Team, both of which plays a role in mass production and long-term preservation of bioresoucres, to contribute to recycling and industrialization of high value-added freshwater bioresources. Culture Technology Development Team studies useful culture techniques of useful bioresources derived from freshwater, while Strain Preservation and Distribution Team plans to provide distribution service by studying long-term preservation technology so that anyone can use freshwater organisms. In addition, they can be used effectively through research on culture technology of freshwater microorganisms that have not been cultured. In addition, freshwater organism cultures with useful and various activity are environmentally friendly bio-industrial materials that are harmless to human beings and global environment; the can be used as development materials of eco-friendly bioindustrial materials in various areas such as energy, environment, medicine, chemistry and agriculture through mass production. The long-term preservation and distribution of Freshwater Bioresources Culture Research Division can be industrially utilized by other researchers and can create more added values. Long-term preservation and management through securing cultures of high value-added freshwater bioresources will ultimately play a pivotal role in the commercialization of bioresources.
